WHAT WE ATE...
As it was
brunch time, I chose the ‘Porridge – golden syrup, poached fruit, nut and
cinnamon crumble ($12.00)’. I was expecting poached fruit but instead I
received berry compote. However, the berry compote still tasted lovely with the
porridge and nut crumble. The serving was massive and very filling indeed.

My dining
companion wanted something sweet so he chose the ‘French Toast – challah bread,
berry mascarpone and maple syrup ($14.50)’. You can also add some bacon for
$4.30 if you wish… It was a delightful interpretation of French Toast. This
type of bread was the ideal vessel for the eggy custard to absorb. There was a
perfect balance between berries and mascarpone to provide both sweetness and
richness.

($3.80) made with Coffee Supreme beans was wonderful.

OVERALL…
Having
recently moved to the area, I have been working my way down Malvern Road trying
the various eateries. This time it was Neon Tiger’s turn. The tables were a tad
close together so we chose a communal table where we could spread out with the
weekend papers. The black, pink and grey interior was striking and I loved the
cute cactuses on the tables.
