WHAT WE ATE...
This new café on the Blackburn food scene has its own coffee roastery on site and all the money raised from this venture go to World Vision. The menu is mostly plant based but carnivores are catered for too.

I decided to have the ‘Vegan BLAT with cos lettuce, coconut bacon, Roma tomatoes, avocado, house mayo on sourdough bread ($10.00)’. The coconut bacon made out of coconut flakes gave the toastie a smoky crunchy and the vegan mayonnaise tasted just like the real deal. The delicious toastie is also fabulous value at just $10.

My dining companion picked the ‘Avocado on rye bread with fennel seed dukkah, chives and lemon hummus ($14.00)’. The fennel seed dukkah enhanced the sliced avocado, whilst the lemon hummus added zing.

We also shared a ‘Vegan Peanut Butter Brownie ($5.00)’, which had a very rich, chocolate flavour but was more cake-like in texture than a non-vegan brownie.

WHAT WE DRANK...
We both ordered lattes ($4.00) made with their very own Little Things Coffee…
