La Sala at Olivigna, Warrandyte



WHAT’S ON THE MENU?
·       Maiale - crispy pork belly with apple and red onion compote, watercress salad and chive dressing ($18.00) *gluten-free
·       Crudo Pizza - pancetta, taleggio, scamorza bianca and candied walnuts ($24.00)
·       Lasagna with smoked eggplant, black tahini béchamel served with goat’s milk curd, broccolini and beetroot crisps ($28.00)
·       Semifreddo - aromatic rhubarb and ricotta semifreddo with rhubarb jelly, honeycomb and cinnamon infused gelato ($16.00) *gluten-free







WHAT WE ATE...
We started our Italian feast with some complementary bread and Olivigna olive oil…


Next, we sampled the luscious ‘Salmone Pizza - house-cured salmon, cauliflower puree, scamorza bianca, confit fennel and crispy capers ($26.00)’.


Then we tried the gorgeous ‘Gnocchi - Dobson Congo potato gnocchi, beef ragu, fresh peas and shaved pecorino ($32.00)’…


We also shared some ‘Polenta - hand cut polenta chips drizzled with balsamic vinegar ($9.00)’…


For dessert, we indulged in the ‘Bombolone - cinnamon sugar Italian doughnuts, crème fraîche custard with strawberry and pear salsa ($14.00)’.


WHAT WE DRANK…
We all chose the wonderful ‘Olivigna Prosecco ($10.00 per glass)’…


I ended the lunch with a Chai Latte ($4.50).
