Leaf and Vine, Ringwood



WHAT’S ON THE MENU?
·         AM Citrus Couscous, golden raisins, currants, seeds and nuts with labne, blueberries, strawberries and banana ($12.50)
·         Ricotta Hotcakes with leatherwood honey roasted pears, mascarpone, maple syrup and toasted seeds ($16.50)
·         Smash Avocado, kale, peas, beans on 100% dark rye, Yarra Valley Persian fetta, freekeh and poached eggs ($18.50)
·         Ploughman’s Breakfast: shaved pastrami, crumbled Tasmanian cheddar and cucumber onion pickle with poached eggs on quinoa loaf ($18.00)



WHAT WE ATE...
I was tempted by the ‘Waffles with strawberry and black cherry jumble, macadamia nut and oat crumbs with vanilla ice cream ($16.50)’. I loved the combination of strawberries and cherries with the crunchy macadamia. The silky ice-cream added some extra indulgence.


My dining companion decided to have the ‘BLT – bacon, cos lettuce, red onions, tomatoes with dill aioli on toasted Turkish bread ($13.00)’. This was also a tasty dish with quality and plentiful ingredients.




WHAT WE DRANK…
My Latte ($3.80) using Genovese coffee was okay.




OVERALL…
Eastland may possess the fashionable eateries of Ringwood… However, hidden away in a residential street is Leaf & Vine. Their dishes consist of fresh ingredients that are ethically sourced where possible. We sampled some dishes from the Winter Menu but you can now try their Spring Menu.
