WHAT WE ATE...
The menu is designed for sharing with a choice of small and large share plates. We decided to order a few dishes from the ‘Small Share Plates’ menu.

‘Taro chips, black bean and chipotle hommus, corn and roast pepper salsa ($12.00)’. The crunchy chips were a perfect start to the night and I particularly liked the black bean and chipotle hommus.

‘Shaved calamari salad, lemon balm, puffed quinoa, coriander and chicharon ($16.50)’. This small share plate was massive but it tasted delicious! A lovely, refreshing dish.

‘Green tree ant cured salmon, salt and vinegar taro chips, pico de callo ($18.00)’. This was my dining companion’s favourite savoury dish. Scooping up the elements with the salt and vinegar taro chips created a taste explosion in the mouth.

‘Coconut and lime prawns, green mango, coriander and fried garlic ($17.50)’. I loved this dish! The rich, buttery sauce with the prawns was very addictive!

We chose two desserts to share…

‘Dulce de leche mousse, berries and bitter chocolate ($13.00)’. This was a visually spectacular dessert that also tasted amazing! The creamy mousse was offset by the tartness of the berries. Smashing the sugar skull with our spoon provided access to the luscious dessert and the popping candy gave us a pleasurable surprise…

‘Spiced rum mango, salted caramel, meringue and sponge ($12.00)’. The warm mango with the salted caramel was just scrumptious. This was my favourite out of the two desserts as it was not too sweet.

WHAT WE DRANK...
We tried some cocktails and mocktails. My favourite out of all the cocktails was The Hustler which had the yummy addition of lychees…

The Hustler – ($18.00)

The Lemon Tree ($18.00)

OVERALL…
We were invited to try Pablo Honey’s menu which is located in a prime spot opposite Luna Park. Four friends recently opened Pablo Honey which boasts a Latin American inspired menu that is complemented by some very addictive cocktails... Our lovely waitress, Isabella, who assisted us on the night, created the amazing artwork you see hanging in the restaurant whilst part-owner Mat’s wife Jess, created the striking skulls on display. Pablo Honey’s fantastic food, drinks, service and atmosphere inspired us to eagerly start planning our return visit...
