'Eva for Loverly' Bridal Collection

Hello, my lovely readers! Hope you had a fabulous Valentine’s Day. Love is indeed in the air this month. Perhaps a wedding, too? I was invited by wedding planning website Lover.ly to review their new ‘Eva for Loverly’ collection of dresses for brides and bridesmaids co-designed by Eva Franco. The dresses are designed to be worn again and again rather than just once and then put in your wardrobe to never see the light of day... The collection debuted on February 12, 2015 exclusively on Lover.ly.

Here are my five favourite dresses from the collection...

Juliet Dress - $265.00

This would be my favourite bridal dress from the collection. A simple gown with the added glamour of vintage lace to bring a touch of nostalgia to the occasion. The vintage trend is still running hot in Australia right now.

Vivian Dress – $130.00

This season’s most popular shade for bridesmaids is pale pink and this dress represents femininity and nostalgia in equal doses. The maxi length gives a streamline silhouette with a little hint of sexiness provided by the open back.

Another trending shade for bridesmaids right now is midnight blue. This maxi gown with spotted lace is a flattering shade and shape for everybody. Most bridesmaids will be very happy with this choice of dress. The spots add a fun dimension and the key hole back breaks up the shoulder area.

This gown is flirty yet romantic with the beautifully draped bow detail. This short style of gown would be perfect for a garden wedding...

This elegant dress portrays a classic profile that would be flattering to most figures. The whimsical lavender lace inspires romance and mystery.

Paddington Tea

There is nothing that I love more than relaxing with a cup of tea in the morning. Well, now thanks to Paddington Tea, this morning ritual can be transformed into a magical experience with their Quixotic Range of hand-poured soy candles, fragrant room sprays and bath salts that complement their gorgeous teas.

Paddington Tea is a Sydney-based company that is changing the way Australians enjoy their tea. The Paddington Tea range combines 14 exquisite flavours of tea (including six organic teas) with soy candles, bath salts and room sprays to enrich the tea drinking ritual. As the result of strong partnerships with some of the finest tea merchants in Australia, Sri Lanka, China and India, Paddington Tea’s recipes are closely guarded and exceptionally unique. These tea flavours are complemented by aromatic products designed to enhance the experience of drinking tea. All products in the Quixotic Range are 100% natural and Australian-made with premium ingredients.

The Organic Lemongrass and Ginger Tea ($12.60) from their herbal tea range was very fragrant, refreshing, and spicy. I enjoyed the tea by itself but if you prefer your tea sweet then some added honey would be ideal. A box of tea contains twenty pyramid teabags. With flavours such as Verbena, Lady Earl Grey, and Masala Chai for you to try, the hardest part is deciding on just one. Maybe order two... or three...

The Lemongrass & Green Tea Candle ($29.90/220g) was very invigorating. Just what you need in the morning... The delightfully fresh aroma definitely enhanced the Lemongrass and Ginger Tea. Of course, I absolutely adore the smell of green tea in products. Other flavours available include Allardi Lavender, White Tea and berries and Mediterranean Fig.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, the Rose Lover collection featuring Tulsi Rose Tea, a Rustic Rose room spray and soy candle, would make the perfect gift for your loved one.

Check out their full range of products on their website.

Mister Fox

Does your partner love a round of golf on the weekend? Well, you could subtly suggest the Ringwood Golf Club because then you can enjoy a leisurely lunch at Mister Fox. Of course, if you both love golf then why not rehydrate yourselves afterwards with a beer or wine from their excellent drinks list. Mister Fox not only has spectacular views over the verdant golf course but a fantastic menu using local ingredients that is also extremely good value. It can be quite busy on the weekend though so I would definitely book a table. Also, if you are looking for a venue for your next function, they have some great event packages.

WHAT’S ON THE MENU?
·        A Fox Down Wind – bowl of Mr Fox baked beans, sausage, toasted Dench sourdough, poached egg ($15.00)
·        Farro porridge, vanilla chai, fruit compote ($10.00)
·        Pulled pork sourdough sandwich, chipotle mayo, lime slaw ($10.00)
·        Honey roasted pumpkin ciabatta, parmesan, spinach, sticky parmesan ($8.00)

WHAT WE ATE...
I decided to have the ‘Roast beef focaccia, melted cheddar, spinach, seeded mustard ($10.00)’. The focaccia contained a generous amount of quality ingredients and the oozing cheese amalgamated the contents superbly.

My dining companion chose the ‘Ham, cheese, spinach and egg breakfast pie with chilli jam ($13.00)’. This was also a delicious dish and the spicy relish enhanced the flavours of the pie.

WHAT WE DRANK...
Some great craft beers are on the menu with the Yarra Valley featuring heavily on their wine list. I felt like being a piggy on this occasion so I picked the Iced chocolate ($4.50). This was a perfectly made iced chocolate. The right amount of chocolate and ice-cream and the essential cream on top.

My dining companion grabbed a latte ($3.50) made with Genovese coffee. This was also very nice.
